The Hope of Africa was started by Heather Lytle and Amy Dayton. Heather lived in Africa for 4 years working with Ugandan and South African youth. Amy has been to Africa twice to work with South African youth. Seeing the condition of orphaned youth and the bleak futures that they have, God put a burden on Heather’s and Amy’s hearts to do something about it. They created The Hope of Africa as a means to raise awareness, support and resources to assist grassroots African organizations and individuals working to build a hope and a future for African youth through educational, physical and spiritual development. The Hope of Africa is incorporated in the State of Colorado and is pending non-profit status from the IRS.
